Arise and depart.

Do not possess that evil condition. Do not call it YOUR sickness. Do not call it YOUR disease. It is not yours.

By the way, when it comes to obtaining healing, it pays to be feisty.

Doctors say it is a well-known fact that a feisty person - a fighter - can overcome disease and sickness better than a passive person. There is something in the immunity system that goes to work for you when you become a fighter.

Why would people claim ownership of sickness? Could it be that they were told there is no cure, which made them hopeless, and so they resigned themselves to that verdict and decided that the only option they had was to live with it?

Arise and depart.

Remember, God can heal anything.

Why would people celebrate anniversaries of sickness? Could it be that the more they pray against it, the worse it gets, and so they conclude that it is there to stay?

Arise and depart.

Do you not remember Pharaoh and how he increased the Israelites’ bondage the moment Moses, a deliverer, showed up on the scene? Moses kept going, though, and I bet we all know how Pharaoh ended up.

Use the image above to help you see and keep seeing the end of that sickness.

I see you: Persistently praying and believing, wondering when it will all end. Be strong. Be encouraged. Do not faint. Keep praying. Keep believing.

I see you: Still standing despite that onslaught of sickness and disease. We hear your story whenever you publish your journey. It is a source of strength, especially for those who are battling with the same. What if I told you, however, that there is better?

Arise and depart.

God’s will is health.

That is God’s best. Do not settle for less. Will you reach out for it?

Hear the Word of the Lord to you.

Arise and depart.

That is not your rest.

Do not settle in it. Do not call it yours. Do not hold pity parties (as an individual or with sympathizers).

No matter how long you may have warred against that sickness and affliction, even though it is still right there staring you in the face like it is mocking you, keep on keeping on. Do not give up.

It may look like it is still there, but powerful things are happening behind the scenes. Do not believe your circumstances. They lie. Have you not heard the song,

"Every prayer a powerful weapon,

Strongholds come tumbling down."

If it did not go instantly, it is getting weaker and weaker. You, on the other hand, are getting stronger and stronger.

I know it is trying to get you down, but Arise.

I know it is trying to hold you fast, but Depart.

Arise and depart.

Finally, again I say, do not settle for just a little healing or just a little freedom. When God heals, He heals completely. Go for complete healing and deliverance. Do not settle for 20%, 30%, 70% or any other percentage less than 100%.

Jesus Christ already paid for it.

You were healed.

Therefore, be strong, not in your own strength but be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

For it is not by power nor by might, but by the Spirit of the living God.

Arise and Depart.

Do not settle ‘there’, if it is not God’s will for you.

Would you pause from your busy schedule for 10 minutes? Only 10 minutes. Use the time to think about the people around you who are sick. If there is none, think about those who are in hospitals. Then, let us pray for them, that they may be healed.

I put together this simple prayer where I’d like to pray with anyone within the sound of my voice who has a friend facing sickness, disease, or any health challenge. All I ask you to do is agree with me as I pray and believe God for your friend’s healing right now.

I want you to know that your friend’s life is precious beyond measure, and God wants to restore every part of their body to His perfect design. The same God who created their body the first time can recreate, restore, and regenerate it again.

I’ve witnessed Him heal conditions that doctors said were impossible through the power of prayer, and I believe that he shall do the same for your friend right now, in Jesus name.

Let Us Pray

Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you with heavy hearts yet with unwavering faith on behalf of our friend who is facing illness. We gather together united in spirit, knowing that where two or three are gathered in Your name, You are right here in our midst. We feel their pain and struggle, and we lift them up to You, the ultimate healer and restorer.

Prepare Your Heart

Lord, we choose to prepare our hearts by releasing any unforgiveness, bitterness, or resentment that might stand in the way of Your perfect work. If there’s anyone who has wronged us, including negative words spoken over our friend or discouraging diagnoses, we lay it all at Your feet now.

We choose complete forgiveness because we know that a pure heart receives your miracles freely. We also repent of any fear, doubt, or unbelief about Your power and desire to heal. We choose faith over fear, hope over despair, and Your Word over what we see or feel.

Declare God’s Word

Father, Your Word is medicine to our bodies and health to our bones. We cling to the truth that by Jesus’ stripes our friend is healed. 1 Peter 2.24 powerfully reminds us that by Your wounds they have been healed. You sent Your Word, and it healed them, rescuing them from destruction. Your will is for us to prosper and be in health as our soul prospers. 3 John 1:2. You are Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals us. We also cherish the gift of friendship. Proverbs 17:17 teaches us that a friend loves at all times and a brother is born for adversity. Therefore, we stand together, believing in your mighty interventions.

Take Authority

Now, in the mighty name of Jesus, we speak directly to every sickness, disease, and dysfunction trying to attack our friend’s body and mind. We command all infirmity to retreat, its spread to be immediately halted, and its effects to be utterly dissolved right now. We declare a Divine firewall around them, preventing any further advance of illness. Sickness, you have no authority here. We command you to leave their body now in Jesus’ name.

Praying Over Organs and Systems

We decree supernatural restoration over every organ and system.

To their bones, joints, and muscles, we decree strength. Begin to walk now. We speak flexibility to every joint and power to every muscle. All weakness, pain, and stiffness vanish in Jesus’ name.

To their eyes, begin to see with crystal clarity. We decree perfect focus, sharp vision, and complete restoration. Blindness, blurriness, and all visual impairment, go in Jesus’ name.

To their ears, be unstopped and hear perfectly. We decree sensitivity to every frequency and clarity to every sound. Deafness and hearing loss, be reversed in Jesus’ name.

To their brain and mind, we decree supernatural intelligence, perfect memory, and Divine clarity. Brain fog, lift, confusion vanish, depression and anxiety, be bound and cast out. We declare the peace of God guarding their heart and mind.

To their heart and circulatory system, we decree perfect rhythm, powerful circulation, and optimal blood pressure. Every artery, vein, and capillary, be clear and strong.

To their lungs, we decree deep, effortless breaths and full lung capacity. Every airway be open and clear. Shortness of breath and congestion, cease in Jesus’ name.

To their digestive system, we decree perfect function and freedom from all discomfort. Appetite, be restored. Digestion, be perfected in Jesus’ name.

To their kidneys and liver, we decree regeneration of every cell and perfect function in purifying and sustaining their body.

To their skin, be fresh, clear, soft, and radiant. Every blemish, scar, and irritation disappear in Jesus’ name.

To their immune system, we decree Divine strength and perfect balance, recognizing healthy tissue and powerfully eradicating all foreign invaders.

To their endocrine system, we decree balanced hormones and perfect communication throughout their body, supporting overall health and vitality.

We decree strength to rise, faith to stand, and joy to overflow. We speak restoration of their appetite for life, health, and Your presence. Let their energy be supernaturally renewed and their spirit invigorated.

We bind every spirit of infirmity, confusion and fear in Jesus’ name. You have no legal right here. This body belongs to Jesus Christ, purchased by His precious blood. We declare that no weapon formed against their health will prosper and we cancel every negative diagnosis.

Your Word is the final authority and You say they are healed.

We also pray for wisdom regarding nutrition, rest and lifestyle choices that will support this healing miracle. Guide our friend and those caring for them to the right treatments and provide financially for any care needed during this healing process.

Give Thanks

Now, if you can place your hands gently on your friend or any material that represents them and declare with us, 'Thank you, Jesus, that by your stripes my friend is healed. They receive your supernatural restoration right now in Jesus’s most precious name.”

We stand in complete agreement, decreeing total freedom from every sickness. Plans of the enemy are defeated and destroyed. Divine health and supernatural strength now flow through every part of their being.

Angels of God, go forth now and complete this healing work. Remove every obstruction, heal every damaged area, and restore perfect function according to God’s original design.

Father, we thank you that this prayer is already answered. We believe and receive everything we’ve prayed for.

As you go forth from this prayer, remember daily that your friend is healed, whole, and restored. When symptoms try to discourage you or your friend, speak your word over their body rather than accepting the symptoms.

We declare that this friend’s testimony of healing will bring glory to Your name and faith to others who need miracles. May your love fill every aspect of their life. Let your peace and protection surround them wherever they go. They are redeemed by the blood of Jesus, justified

I believe with all my heart that as we pray together today, God’s healing power touched your friend. His word never returns void, and the declarations we made are working right now, even if you can’t see it yet.

Remember, faith isn’t denying the current situation. It’s choosing to believe that God’s promises are more real than present circumstances. Your friend has the same resurrection power that raised Jesus from the dead, living inside them, and that power responds to your faith-filled declarations.

Keep believing, keep declaring, and keep expecting your friend’s miracle.

AMEN to that last one, but...

…the symptoms remain, and the pain is still there.

You prayed against the cancer. It went. Tuberculosis showed up.

You cursed that tuberculosis. It went. Something else showed up.

You cursed that other thing. It went. Nothing else showed up, but you are still in pain.

Your prayers are working. You are shooting and destroying, but you are shooting at the wrong thing. You have been dealing with the symptoms and only getting temporary relief. In such instances, there usually is something beneath the surface that is responsible for what is going on in your body. That thing, in most cases, is a spirit.

Jesus once made a dumb man speak simply by casting out the devil that was behind the dumbness.

Somebody likes to comment about Smith Wigglesworth, talking about how he believed that everything that was not of health was of the devil, AND IT WORKED FOR HIM!

Just to give one illustration; in 1948, he was holding a tent crusade in Los Angeles when a woman who was seated near the front fainted as he was preaching. People rushed to her side.

Probably pray for healing, right? Or call for medical personnel?

Both good, but none might have worked in that situation.

Wigglesworth did neither of that. From the platform, he pointed and shouted: “I rebuke you, you evil devil, for disturbing this meeting!”

People wondered, criticized and murmured. Nevertheless, the meeting moved on.

The next morning, the woman’s husband came looking for Wigglesworth. He told of how she had been suffering from a chronic, medically untreatable condition. It looked like a physical problem.

Wigglesworth had not known that she was sick. He simply discerned a spirit in the moment, rebuked it publicly to criticism, and she was instantly set free, something that was only confirmed the following morning.

If you can locate the enemy and deal with him, you will win that war.

I celebrate your victory already. Here’s to your health.

When I was diagnosed with metastatic liver cancer in December 1981, I faced this exact question. The doctors had given me weeks to live, but I had to settle something in my heart first. Was it God’s will for me to be healed? Or was he using this cancer to teach me something?

What I discovered will shock you. And in just a moment, you’ll see why getting this question wrong can literally be the difference between life and death. Today, over 40 years after that terminal diagnosis, I’m here to settle this question once and for all. It is God’s will for you to be healed. But what I’m about to share will prove it beyond any shadow of doubt.

God’s Will Is Health

Let me take you to the bedrock scripture that settled this question in my heart forever. In Matthew 8:2-3, we read about a leper who came to Jesus with a question that sounds very familiar.

Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.

Now watch this carefully. Jesus didn’t hesitate. He didn’t pray about it. He didn’t check with the Father. According to Matthew 8:3, Jesus immediately responded with these life-changing words.

I am willing. Be cleansed.

Did you catch that? I am willing. Not maybe. Not if it’s my will. Not let me think about it. Jesus declared definitively, I am willing.

But here’s what most people miss about this encounter, and it changes everything. If you have been angry with God or bitter because you thought he made you sick, you need to change your thinking right now.

According to John 10.10, Jesus makes it crystal clear that, “The thief does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Notice, Jesus identifies two different sources. The thief, satan, comes to steal your health, kill you, and destroy you. But Jesus came to give you life, and not just any life, but abundant life. And wait until you see what this means for your situation right now.

During my battle with cancer, both my heart and my mind knew it was not God’s will for me or any of his children to be sick. But I’ve discovered that many believers are trapped by dangerous lies about God’s will. Some people think they must suffer for Jesus. Others believe that God is teaching them a lesson through sickness. Let me tell you something that might surprise you. God does not teach his children lessons by making them sick.

Think about it this way. You don’t teach your children a lesson by pushing them in front of a car. God is a loving father who wants his children well and happy.

But there’s one particular lie that’s more deadly than all the others combined. If I’d had any doubt in my mind about it being God’s will for me to be well, I would never have gotten well. That is why we need to fight the lies of the devil. That is why we need to teach people God’s Word. Get it clearly established in your mind and heart that it is God’s will for you to be well.

According to Hosea 4.6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”

How tragic that many believers suffer and die needlessly because they don’t know what God’s Word says about healing. And in just a moment, I’m going to show you exactly what God’s Word says about His will for your healing.

God’s Will Is His Word

Here’s how you can know God’s will with absolute certainty. God’s will is His Word. When you find a promise in the Bible, you’ve found God’s will. It’s that simple. In 3 John 2, the Apostle John reveals God’s highest priority. “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospereth.”

Did you catch that phrase? Above all things.

Healing isn’t just part of God’s will. It’s his highest wish for you. But there’s something about this verse that most people completely overlook.

According to Psalm 103:2-3, we’re commanded to “bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases.” Notice God doesn’t say, He heals some diseases or certain kinds of diseases. He heals all your diseases.

In Isaiah 53:5, we discover the foundation of God’s will for healing. “But he was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement for our peace was upon him, and by his stripes we are healed.”This isn’t just about spiritual healing.

Matthew 8:17 confirms this when it declares, “He himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.”

If Jesus took your sickness, there’s no need for you to bear it. But here’s the part that will revolutionize your understanding of God’s will.

God’s Character

You cannot separate God’s will from God’s character. So let me ask you, what kind of God do you serve? According to James 1:17, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.” Notice it says every good gift comes from God. Sickness is not a good gift. It comes from the enemy.

In Acts 10.38, we see the heart of God revealed through Jesus, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”

This verse reveals something powerful. Jesus went about healing all who were oppressed by the devil. Not some, not a few, but all. And God was with him in this healing ministry.

But there’s one more revelation about God’s character that will settle this question forever. According to 1 John 4:8, “God is love.” Not God has love. God is love.

Love doesn’t make children sick.

Love doesn’t put cancer on people.

Love doesn’t cause suffering.

Love heals.

Love restores.

Love gives abundant life.

If you want to know God’s will, don’t look at your circumstances. Look at His actions. What did Jesus do when He walked the earth? He healed every person who came to him. Not one person left His presence unsaved or unhealed if they came in faith.

In Luke 4:18, Jesus declared His mission. “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.”

Notice what’s not on that list. Making people sick, giving people diseases, or teaching lessons through suffering. But here’s what changed everything in my understanding of God’s will.

According to Hebrews 13.8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” If Jesus healed everyone when he walked the earth and he never changes, then He still wants to heal everyone today, including you.

Paul’s Thorn in the Flesh

Now, some people will say, but what about Paul’s thorn in the flesh? Didn’t God refuse to heal him? Let me address this misunderstanding that has kept countless people from receiving their healing.

In 2 Corinthians 12:7-9, Paul mentions his thorn in the flesh. But notice what the Bible actually says, “It was a messenger of satan to buffet me.” It wasn’t from God. It was from satan.

Paul asked the Lord three times to remove it. God’s response in verse 9 was, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”

God didn’t say, I gave you this thorn. He said, My grace will help you overcome it.

But here’s the key point most people miss about this passage. Paul learned to overcome the enemy’s attack through God’s grace and strength. This doesn’t prove God doesn’t want to heal. It proves God gives us power to overcome every attack of the enemy.

Look At The Cross

And there’s one more crucial truth about God’s will that I must share with you. If you want to know God’s will about healing, look at the cross. Isaiah 53:4-5 prophesied what Jesus would accomplish. “Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”

According to 1 Peter 2:24, this prophecy was fulfilled, “Who himself bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness, by whose stripes you were healed.”

Notice Peter uses past tense. You were healed.

Your healing isn’t something God might do. It’s something He already did at Calvary. But wait, there’s one more proof that will remove every doubt about God’s will.

In Galatians 3.13, we learn that “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us.” What was the curse? According to Deuteronomy 28, it included sickness, disease, and premature death. But you’ve been redeemed from that curse.

Some Proof

Let me share with you the personal proof I have that healing is God’s will. When I was diagnosed with terminal cancer, I never questioned whether it was God’s will for me to be healed. I knew in my heart it wasn’t God who made me sick. God did not give me cancer.

According to John 10.10, it was the thief, satan, who came to steal my health, kill me, and destroy me. But Jesus said, I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.

I chose abundant life, and for over 40 years now, I’ve been living proof that it is God’s will to heal his children. But here’s the most powerful evidence that it’s God’s will. Dr. Reginald Cherry, who examined me years after my diagnosis, reported, “She is now the picture of health. Her physical examination and blood tests are all normal. There is absolutely no hint of disease in her body.”

If it weren’t God’s will for me to be healed, why would He heal me? The fact that He healed me proves it’s His will. And if it’s His will for me, it’s His will for you. Because according to Acts 10:34, God shows no partiality.

Settle It In Your Heart

Beloved, you must settle this question in your heart once and for all. Is it God’s will for you to be healed? The answer is a resounding yes. Look at what Jesus said in Matthew 7:11, “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him?”

What earthly parent would give their child cancer?

What loving father would make his daughter sick?

If human parents want good health for their children, how much more does your heavenly Father want you healthy?

God’s Thoughts Are Good Thoughts

But there’s one final truth that will seal this question forever. According to Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

God’s thoughts toward you are thoughts of peace, not evil.

Sickness is evil.

Healing is good.

In Deuteronomy 30:19, God presents you with a choice. “I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore, choose life that both you and your descendants may live.”

Notice, God tells you which choice to make. Choose life.

He doesn’t want you to die an early death. He wants you to live and declare his works. According to Psalm 118:17, you can declare with confidence, “I shall not die, but live and declare the works of the Lord.”

But choosing life means rejecting the lie that sickness might be God’s will for you.

Choose Life

Today, I want you to settle this question once and for all. Declare with me right now, “It is God’s will for me to be healed. Jesus took my sickness at Calvary. By his stripes, I was healed. I choose life and not death. I choose blessing and not cursing. I reject every lie that says God wants me sick. My Father loves me and wants me healthy, whole, and strong.”

According to Romans 10:10, “With the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” When you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that healing is God’s will, you position yourself to receive your miracle.

But there’s one more step you must take. Once you’ve settled that it’s God’s will for you to be healed, you must live in that reality.

Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.

Don’t let symptoms make you doubt.

Don’t let doctors’ reports override God’s reports.

According to 2 Corinthians 5:7, “We walk by faith, not by sight.” Walk in the reality of God’s will, not in the appearance of circumstances.

In Isaiah 55:8-9, God reminds us, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

God’s will is higher than man’s will. God’s ways are higher than medical ways. God’s thoughts about your healing are higher than any diagnosis.

And here’s the promise that secures your healing. According to Isaiah 55:11, “So shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth. It shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” God’s will revealed in His Word cannot fail. It will accomplish what he pleases and it pleases Him to heal you.

My beloved friends, the question is settled, it is God’s will for you to be healed. The evidence is overwhelming. Jesus said, “I am willing.” He took your sickness at Calvary. He healed all who came to Him.

God’s character is love, not sickness. His thoughts toward you are good, not evil. You’ve been redeemed from the curse. His will is revealed in His Word.

Stop questioning whether God wants to heal you.

He does.

Stop wondering if it might be His will for you to be sick.

It’s not.

Stop thinking He’s teaching you a lesson through suffering.

He’s not.

Start believing that healing is your inheritance as a child of God. Start declaring that by his stripes you were healed. Start living in the reality that it is God’s will for you to be whole, healthy, and strong.

The question is settled forever. Now receive what belongs to you as a child of the King.

Let us pray,

Father, thank You for settling this question in our hearts today. We declare that it is Your will for us to be healed. We reject every lie that says You want us sick. We receive our healing now, knowing it’s Your perfect will. Thank You for Jesus who took our sickness so we could walk in Divine health. In His mighty name, Amen.

I believe with all my heart that as we’ve settled this crucial question today, every doubt about God’s desire to heal you has been demolished by Scripture. The certainty we’ve established is creating faith and expectation that will attract His miraculous power.

One notable healing took place, and a whole city was converted. This is evangelism made easy.

Testify

Jehovah heals. He told us that He is the Lord who heals us. His will is health. When God heals you, become an unashamed witness. Show and tell. It gives Him glory and testifies of Him, drawing men.

Jesus said to the man whom He freed from a legion of demons in Luke 8:39, “Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee.”

And he (the man) went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.

No Better Time Than Now

We can start right here and now. ‘Procrastination is the thief of time,’ they say. Drop a comment and let God’s people know how Jehovah healed you or healed someone you know. Your testimony might just be the witness somebody needs to build their faith or to believe in the Christ.

Immediately that woman was healed, she arose and ministered to them. It says so in Matthew 8:14-15, “And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever. And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.”

Sickness and service do not go well together like a candle in a hurricane. Sickness will either prevent you from showing up to serve or slow you down if you manage to rise above it. Have you not heard of servants of God in our day, whom He counselled to eat well and take care of their bodies because they needed good health to continue serving Him well? Okay, I will give you an example.

Care to Contrast?

Derek Prince, during a season of frailty and exhaustion, was seeking the Lord, and God spoke to him about how his health was directly linked to fulfilling purpose. He began to make changes in his lifestyle choices, in a bid to take care of his body.

Jack Coe, on the other hand, though God was using him mightily, had to go home early due to illness.

Jehovah Himself, in the Old Testament, spoke to Pharaoh multiple times to let his people go so that they could serve Him.

That was Healed à Serve.

I have another favourite verse that I use quite often. This one says that when you serve/worship the Lord, He will take sickness away.

Then there is Serve à Healed.

Shall we Pray?

Father, we arise in the authority in the name of Jesus, and like Moses, we speak to every Pharaoic disease and say, ‘Let God’s people go that they may serve Him’. Set your people free so that they can serve You. As they serve You, bless their bread and their water and remove all sickness from their midst. Satisfy them with long life and show them Your salvation. Amen.

That sickness in your body is your enemy, just as the enemies face the Jews. God has given you authority to strike it down completely. Just as the Jews experienced total victory over those who sought their destruction, you have been empowered to overcome every symptom and condition attacking your health.

This scripture reveals how God turns the tables, transforming you from victim to victor, giving you complete authority to defeat the sickness that has opposed your well-being.

Let us believe and pray together.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I recognize this sickness as my enemy, and I take up the sword of your Word against it. Just as you gave the Jews victory, I claim my Divine authority to strike down this disease. I declare total destruction to every symptom and root cause. I do what I please to this sickness that hates my body; I command it to leave completely. Your healing power flows through me, establishing my victory right now.

Amen.

Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Are you sick? Have you been praying for healing? Is your thinking in alignment with your desire for health, or is your mind still focused on the sickness, the disease, the pain, the doctor’s negative report, the symptoms, or how you feel? Are your thoughts negating your prayers?

When you stand to pray, your mouth is saying something, and your heart/mind is also saying something. Are they both saying the same thing?

Ephesians 3:20 shows that God is able to do much more than we ask. He is also able to do more than we think. Some versions replace the word think with imagine.

What seest thou? Can you see yourself healed? Here is what to do to enhance that sight. Engage scriptural visualizations and use the power of imagination. In other words, focus on what the Word of God says about your healing and picture yourself healed. People have used the power of imagination to receive their healing.

You will want to read this as well.

Here is the principle:

When faced with a particular challenge, find out what the Word of God says about it and dwell there. Let that Word move from your head into your heart and become a part of you. This entrance of His word gives light. When light comes, darkness has to flee.

I read that in some of the healing rooms in Spokane (John G. Lake), the Word of God was read to patients continually before they went in for prayer.

If you are sick (even if you are not), it will do you good to immerse yourself in the healing Word.

I landed on the following Bible verse the day before yesterday, and it jumped out at me.

The words,

‘Every whit whole.’

‘Every whit whole.’

‘Every whit whole.’

…were what got me started on this conversation, which I put to paper and am now sharing with you.

Every whit whole. Completely whole. This is how God heals.

Remember the man at the Beautiful Gate? Did you see what Peter said when he was recounting the healing?

Did you see that? PERFECT SOUNDNESS.

When it comes to deliverance, he also does it completely and perfectly.

Free Indeed. Amplified says, ‘really and unquestionably free’.

I write this to inform or remind you of the kind of healing and deliverance to expect from Jehovah Rapha, Jehovah Palat.

Do not expect or settle for a little bit here and a little bit there. Press on into perfection. Total Freedom. Complete Deliverance. Perfect Soundness.

Say as the Psalmist did,

May the Lord make you EVERY WHIT WHOLE even as you look unto Him for this.

Speaking Spoke for Us.

Around August last year, we noticed that one of our child’s organs was swelling up. We committed it to prayer, and by around September, it had normalized. We were grateful. Glory to God.

In January this year, the thing began swelling up again. “What is this affliction that dares to arise a second time?” I wondered to myself.

We were at peace about it, mainly because God had sorted it out before. We therefore knew that He would do it again. If the lion and the bear had gone down, then Goliath was going to go down too, in the name of Jesus. We did what we had done before and took up the issue prayer. In February, however, we noticed that instead of deflating, the thing was enlarging. Oh my!

(I guess we should have learnt from David. Yes, it was the same battle, but that did not mean we should go up against it the same way we had before. Read 2Samuel 5:17-25.)

These teachings in Hospital Visitation about the power of words and speaking to situations welled up in me and stirred us into action.

We began speaking to it in the second week of February. During that week, the thing kept getting smaller and smaller. As I write this now, it is back to its normal size, and we are so happy and grateful for the healing. We celebrate God’s faithfulness.

What more can I say? It works.

Is there a health challenge staring you in the face that refuses to change or is perhaps getting worse?

Could it be that it is just waiting to hear God’s Word being voiced by you? This is one of the weapons God has placed in our hands as believers. Use it and win.

Thank you that as I continue to speak your healing promises, I am eating the fruit of life and health in my physical body. From this day forward, only words of healing will come from my mouth.

Then it began. The baby began to cry and continued to cry and cry and cry. It was so much that Mommy felt like she would pull out her hair. Her baby seemed to be crying more than all the others in the ward. One concerned mother came and asked (though it sounded like she was declaring), “Colic?”

“No,” the mother asserted.

Soon afterwards, one of the doctors, as he was doing his rounds, noticed that the baby’s face was kind of yellow. Yes, kind of.

“Does he have jaundice?” he inquired. “No!” the mother firmly rejected that one as well. The doctor examined the baby’s eyes and then walked out.

One week later, the baby had quieted down, and there was no more yellowness around his face. He was perfectly okay.

Apostle Selman said,

Speaking the Word of God is sowing. That’s how you plant seeds in the garden of your destiny. If you keep quiet, someone else also has seeds. There is an enemy that has seeds, and he will plant a lot of rubbish in your garden.

Boy, I’m sure glad that the boy’s mother did not agree with those negative or evil speakings. People were speaking ‘death’ to her baby, and even though it looked like it, she refused to agree with it. You will want to read, ‘What Are You Saying’?

We have been examining the power of words when it comes to healing, and unfortunately, it works both ways. Speaking sickness can bring it on, so when you are weak, say, “I AM STRONG,” Joel 3:10. That’s why it says that both life and death are in the power of the tongue.

The long and short of what we have been examining these past few weeks is this:

1. Reject evil speakings. Do not agree with them.

There is tremendous power in agreement, Matthew 18:19, and this one works both ways too.

2. Speak life instead.

Is the tongue, that little member of the body, that powerful? You tell me. Read and meditate on James 3:1-12 before you conclude.

Here is a little takeaway, still from Apostle Selman.

We live in a world where people will want to force you into subscribing to their belief. You have to respect people but choose to believe what the Word of God says.

“If you have a problem with victory, I still love you but don’t try to rub off your mentality on me because God did not give us shared destinies. You have your destiny. Do with it whatever you want to. I will be glad to pray for you when you allow sickness to take you. I’ll be glad to pray for you when you allow all kinds of demons and curses to work. As for me and God and my destiny, I will sit on the wheels of my destiny in partnership with the Word and the Holy Spirit and drive that destiny till it looks like prophecy.”

Every time a mountain stands before you, every time someone says something that is inconsistent with the Word of God, you may not have to shout it at their faces because you still walk with the law of honour; but sometimes you may need to go to the restroom for two minutes and shut your door and say, ‘In the name of Jesus, he insulted me and called me a failure. I respect him, but I don’t respect the seed he’s sowing. I declare in the name of Jesus, I counter that word.’

We began with, What Are You Saying, went on to look at, Your Tongue, and then saw how, When You Speak, it speaks.

Today, we continue by taking a brief look at the tongue of the wise.

Did you know your tongue is literally designed to be a healing instrument? This scripture shows how your tongue brings health. Listen to what God declares;

When you speak words of wisdom, God’s promises, and truth, you release supernatural healing into your body and the bodies of others.

Just as reckless words can wound like a sword, your wise, faith-filled words based on scripture can actually become medicine, bringing divine restoration to every cell in your body.

Let us believe and pray together.

Father, I thank you that my tongue has healing power when I speak your wisdom. I choose to fill my mouth with your life-giving promises rather than reckless, harmful words.

As I speak your word over my body, I release your divine healing power into every cell, tissue, and organ. I declare that my tongue is an instrument of health and restoration, bringing healing to my entire being.

Thank you that your wisdom flowing through my words is healing me now.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

In case someone was thinking, “This is only a theory,” here is a study-case I would like to bring to your attention.

Ever since he was younger, Kenneth Copeland has been speaking to/over his body organs. Was he mocked? Yes indeed! Many of those who mocked him, however, are dead and gone, while he, in his 80s, is still bouncing, preaching, and speaking over his body organs.

The Word of God says it, people work it and see results,… It is evident that it works, right? (and not only in the area of health).

Here is What To Do:

Decree and declare over the parts of your body and over your health. As you comply in faith, they must hear and obey. What you speak in accordance with God’s Word will speak in your life, in Jesus’ name.

Back at home, the days passed and none of those negative effects were visible in her body. She praised God for it. She was grateful that she knew enough not to agree with the negative report.

I heard it said somewhere that when a doctor (and we have nothing against them, they are instruments of healing) gives you a negative report, it is as if the enemy is waiting for you to agree with it so that he can now put that thing on you properly.

The question is, what are you saying about your health? Are you speaking life or death? You do not have to accept a report just because it is the logical scientific explanation and expectation. Disagree with it. I heard somebody talk about how her daughter was having nightmares, and in her profession (she is a doctor), they call them night terrors, which they consider normal. She knew that, but still asked herself, “What does the Bible say?” Psalm 91 gave her an answer.

She went to war with this Word, and her daughter got delivered from the nightmares. Now tell me, what if she had accepted that the nightmares her daughter was having were normal? She would probably not have gone against them, and possibly her daughter may have continued suffering under what they were dismissing as normal occurrences.

Let us pray,

Abba Father, in the name of Jesus, let our tongues be consecrated, let the abundance of our hearts be pure, and our speech be under the reins of the Holy Ghost so that our words may be mighty to destroy all the works of the devil.

Matthew 13.58 And He did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

This is profound. Even Jesus in person could not perform miracles when people deliberately doubted and refused to believe.

From Scripture and real life, however, we discover that, although most healings occur instantly, there may be instances where the manifestation of perfect wholeness takes some time.

It says, ‘the hour when he BEGAN to amend’, not, ‘the hour when he was healed’. This means that a process was kick-started when Jesus spoke the word.

How then should one posture themselves when they notice that God’s healing power is working and they have begun to mend?

We had taken a peek at it right here and here. Maintain a posture of thanksgiving. Derek Prince calls it keeping the plug in. Hear what he said,

…Mark 16:17:

These signs shall follow them that believe. In my name, Jesus said, they shall lay hands on the sick. And what happens? And they shall recover. What shall they do? Recover. It doesn’t say that all of them will be instantly healed. Sometimes healing is instant, sometimes it’s progressive. But it comes.

When I met Ruth in 1977, she was virtually an invalid on her back. I laid hands on her and prayed for her and I said, “Now, keep the plug in. Stay with your plug into God’s power outlet.” And I said, “The way to keep the plug in is, keep thanking Him until the healing is completed.” That was in June. She kept the plug in till November and in November her healing was instantly completed. She had a ruptured disc in her spine and a spine that had been curved from childhood. Now she has no ruptured disc and she has a straight spine, but she didn’t get an instant miracle. She got a progressive work. Jesus says, “They shall recover,” but He doesn’t say how long it will take. Sometimes it’s instantaneous, praise God, but not always.

Some of you will be instantaneously healed. Some of you will get a healing that begins. If it begins, keep your plug in. If you say as you walk out of here, “I didn’t get healed,” do you know what you’ve done? Pulled the plug out and nothing more will happen after that. If you say, “They laid hands on me. God touched me. I’m going to keep thanking Him till it’s complete.” it will be completed.

Closing Nugget

People are healed today just as they were in Bible days. Some of them are healed instantly but some are healed as they go.

Friends, in this world, people are not thinking straight. They’re not thinking straight about a lot of things, and especially about the Lord. You know, a lot of people think that God is back of human suffering; that the Lord is back of war, of poverty, of sickness, of fear, of defeat, of want and squalor and misery upon the earth, but if you’re one who thinks that, you never were more wrong in your life. For God is not sick, therefore He doesn’t want you to be sick. God is not poor, therefore, He doesn’t want you to be poverty-stricken. God is not in trouble. God is not in the depths of defeat and despair and want and squalor, therefore He wants you to have the more abundant life. God is good. God is a good God.
